February News: Florida Petroleum Cleanup Program

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting on the Petroleum Cleanup Program.

Date & Time:

February 15, 2012, 1:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. & February 16, 2012, 8:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.

Place:

Churchill Ballroom, Hilton Ocala - 3600 Southwest 36th Avenue, Ocala, FL

A general update on the Bureau of Petroleum Storage Systems will be held including updates on performance based cleanup (PBC), "preapproval" standard operating procedures (SOP), and a screening procedure to perform limited assessment on all eligible sites that have not yet received an SRCO. 

Petroleum Cleanup Funding 

The Florida House passed its General Appropriations Act (GAA) -- HB 5001 -- which includes $118 million in cleanup funding. Next up, the Senate will vote on SPB 7050
